"I visited Queen Street Grocery in Charleston while on Spring Break. They sell deli style food, lots of sandwiches and chips, crepes, and smoothies. They are located right off King Street. This was awesome for myself and the people I was traveling with because we were spending all day shopping on King Street. It was easy to walk a couple minutes over to Queen street and eat a casual lunch. Queen Street Grocery looked like it was a local gem, it was a little shabby, but in a homey way. It looked lived in and well visited. It was overly decorated in random, local art. I got the Tenacious sandwich. It was amazing and exactly what I needed that day. It was big enough that it filled me up for the day, but I also didn’t feel like I was paying an arm and a leg. I really enjoyed how close it was to King Street and although the shop was small on the inside, we were able to sit at a table outside. It was beautiful. As we sat outside, we got to see a lot of the horse carriage rides pass through and the neighborhood itself was beautiful. I believe we were relatively close to the College of Charleston campus because Queen Street Grocery took OCMP (Off-Campus Meal Plan for College of Charleston) which I thought was really cool. I would definitely return back to this restaurant if I were to come back to Charleston. I feel like Charleston has a really fancy, fine dining atmosphere and as a college student that pricing isn’t always feasible. It was nice to enjoy a great lunch that was a little more casual and cheaper than other options."

"Great lunch spot in a cute quiet part of downtown. They have amazing sandwiches. the bread is big reason for that, the toast level was perfection. The chef might have a toastie doctorate degree from the CIA. They also have an excellent selection of beers, booches and other craft drinks. Highly recommend this over everything we walked past on king st."
